Interesting Day

So very interesting day at work. I get in at 6:50 and as i'm walking in the door I am told that we are having an "air quality" issue. There is a funny smell in the air, burning eyes, trouble breathing, metallic taste in the mouth, nausea, dizziness the whole sha-bang! We get the calls turned off and everyone is evacuated into the lunch room. Since Amazon.com and Target.com are in a separate part of the building and on different air systems we are "safe" once we go through both the security doors. People start feeling better, Shawn our GM shows up and all the agents get to hang out until we are given the all clear to go back. Cut to me as a Lead being asked to guard the door so no one but the fire department and the HAZ MAT team get through. Yes we had the fucking Haz Mat people at my work today! Cut to 3:20 and we are given the all clear to return to work. The bosses take a few mins to answer any questions and surprise surprise the big one is: What the fuck happened? And two guesses as to what the answer was ... THEY DON'T KNOW!!!!! Finally all the agents toddle in and start logging in as I collect my bag and say goodbye as I am now off for two days. It was a very interesting Monday/My Friday.
